Crypto Bible — ethereum wallet

How my friend lost 2 Ether

Posted by Taras Lanchev on

This is my friend's story from a few months back. 2 months ago my neighbour told me about mining and helped me get my first mining rig up and running. I went on https://www.myetherwallet.com, created a wallet, typed in my miner parameters, started the rig and just left it. Today I decided to see how it is doing and how much I've made. So I go to Yahoo, seach for "MyEtherWallet" and click the first link I see (yes, yes, I'm stupid), load my wallet up, type in my password and see that I have almost 2 Ether! I exited the site and went on it again later (this time...

What is Gas in Ethereum and how much should I pay for an Ethereum transaction?

Posted by Taras Lanchev on

"I didn't have enough gas to complete a transaction! What does that mean? How do I get around it?" I hear those questions asked very often by the people who are into Ethereum. And it's fair enough. I only recently learnt what Gas, Gwei and Contracts are. We already talked about how much you should pay for a Bitcoin transaction, but this time the challenge is a bit harder. Similarly to the fork - the foundations are built using the source code of Bitcoin, yet the blockchain was started from block 478559. As a result of that, the...

How many cryptocurrencies are there?

Posted by Taras Lanchev on

According to the most popular website about cryptocurrencies - the number of available currencies is well above 1000! If you are thinking that's too much to learn, don't worry, not many experts know what comes after the first 100, so you'll be fine learning about the first 10-20. You can check the list of all cryptos, their price and the market capitalisation using this link: https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/

Crypto Bible

Posted by Taras Lanchev on

Cryptocurrencies, mining, blockchain - are the trends of today and tomorrow. Somone who doesn't know what those words mean might think you are going insane, but in reality, it's them who are missing out. These words are normally associated with money and good life in general where you will be able to finally try lobsters and buy a yellow Lambo. Because of that, Crypto Daddy has written a Crypto Bible for all those who are just starting to get into the crypto world. This Bible will have everything you need to go from someone who has no idea what crypto is to...
